What You'll Need

Sink
Warm Water
UnShrinkIt
Cold Water
Towel

Phase 1 – Prep

Set Yourself Up For Success

A little preparation goes a long way. Getting the water temperature and solution ratio right makes all the difference.

  • Fill The Sink

Fill your sink or basin with one gallon of warm water, enough to fully submerge your garments.

  • Add UnShrinkIt

Pour the entire bottle of UnShrinkIt into the water. Do not dilute; the full bottle is calibrated for up to 4 garments.

  • Submerge Garments

Place up to 4 garments into the sink. Press each piece down gently so every fiber is fully submerged in the solution.

Phase 2 – soak

The 30-Minute Soak

Leave your garments undisturbed in the solution for a full 30 minutes. The formula needs time to relax the protein bonds in the fibers – do not agitate, wring, or move the garments during this time.

Set a timer and walk away. Checking or moving the garments early can interrupt the restoration process.

You can soak up to 4 garments at once. Make sure each piece stays fully submerged throughout.

Phase 3 – Rinse & Remove

Handle With Care

This is where people make the most mistakes. Gentle hands protect the fibers you just worked so hard to restore.

  • Drain & Rinse

Drain the sink and rinse each garment thoroughly under cold running water until the solution is fully removed.

  • Remove Excess Water

Gently squeeze out any remaining liquid. Never wring or twist as this can re-shrink the fibers you just relaxed.

Phase 4 – Stretch & Dry

Bring It Back To Life

You'll actually feel the fibers relax as you stretch. Work slowly and follow the original shape of the garment.

  • Stretch & Reshape

Use your hands to gently stretch each piece back to its original shape.

  • Lay Flat To Dry

Lay the garment flat on a clean dry towel and allow it to air dry completely. Never hang as it could cause your clothes to stretch out of shape.
